Olivine is an ultrabasic mineral gained from non-altered peridots. It is made up of a mix in solid solution of Fosterite (magnesium silicate-Mg2SiO4) and Fayalite (iron silicate-Fe2 SiO4).
Olivine is an ecological product, compared to other products for sandblasting.
Their chemical-physical features and the absence of crystalline free silica, asbestos and other toxic-harmful stuffs make it an optimal solution compared to other sands of mineral origin.
Owing to its features it is used with free casting compressed-air sandblasting machines.
Olivine finds application in different industrial fields such as naval, civil and industrial sandblasting, at free cast, in industrial floorings and in the production of anticorrosion antiacid varnishes.
